Tongwynlais - ''Canal Bank Picnic Spot''
Medium: Acrylic on Board Ref: KWA52/AOB
The 'canal bank' has great significance to me as this is where my maternal grandmother grew up in Aberthaw House, Tongwynlais. Demolished during the construction of the M4 motorway, the grounds of the house, which were a market garden in my great grandfathers day, are now a picnic spot. The spirit of my grandmother imbues this scene.
